Indian frugality is the stuff of legend. Here are some things you will notice growing up in your Indian home: You will never find a bottle of Heinz ketchup in an Indian home. What you will find is 63 packets of ketchup in the drawer from McDonald’s. Adventures in Childhood – Sugar Cravings

As a child, I was very much like a crack addict: predictable, ADHD, and singular of purpose. I was always focused on my next fix of sugar. I would mow lawns or whatever else I needed to do for crack money, er, I mean sugar money. Back then, each quarter equaled one candy bar.
